Joel Osteen made a stop in Atlanta on Monday to sign copies of his new book “Break Out” at a local Barnes and Noble book signing. He says that unlike his other books, this one is filled with having more faith and encouragement in yourself. His inspiration for writing the novel was to help people move further when they put limits on themselves.

He offered some words of wisdom:

“God’s got you in the palms of his hand… find
what’s right in life and not what’s wrong.  Go out and be good to somebody else.
Honor God with your life and I believe God will take you place’s you’ve never
dreamed of.”

Osteen will go to Nashville, Tennessee next to continue signing
copies of his book.

He suffered burns over 85% of his body, lost the sight in one eye, and both of his hands. He was among several of the veterans that attended the Smyrna Memorial Day ceremony on Monday morning.

"That's the only way to live", Schlitz said after he was asked about how he stayed so positive after the devastating bombing he was involved in. He says that he lost three men and that it's up to him to live a good life that they didn't get a chance to.

Schlitz considers himself a living miracle. He said that without the medical training of his service members and the technology of today, he wouldn't have survived.

Groundhog Day began in the 1400's when legends from Germany and France indicated
that when groundhogs came out of their dens to early, they were frightened by
their shadow and retreated back to their den for 6 weeks. According to
tradition, we should expect 6 more weeks of Winter if the groundhog see's his
shadow. But if it doesn't, expect an early Spring within the next 6 weeks.

Georgia's groundhog, General Beau Lee, resides at the Yellow River Game
Ranch in Lilburn, GA. The National Weather Service has commended him for the
accuracy of his predictions twice. He also has been recognized for his public
service to Americans by 4 Georgia Governors.
Beau did see his shadow this
year so we should wait to see if Winter will continue for the next 6 weeks.
General Beau Lee claims a 94% accuracy and has been the official groundhog at
the Yellow River Game Ranch since 1990. Before Beau, General Robert E. Lee was
the official groundhog. He is now retired.
