A person was shot in the parking lot on September 30, 2012 at 4:38 PM. It happened outside the Shell Gas Station on 3601 Martin Luther King Drive. According to the Atlanta Police Department, two male suspects were shooting at each other in the parking lot when a victim was caught between the crossfire and shot once in the arm. The two suspects fled from the scene on foot toward Fairburn Road. Police checked an abandoned pickup truck next to a gas pump with the doors open and the keys in the ignition. They concluded that it was stolen from Cobb County in a carjacking the previous night.
