Kile Glover, the former stepson of singer Usher, was in critical condition at
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston after being injured in an inner
tube at Lake Lanier. Reports now indicate that the 11-year-old is brain dead.
According to an accident report from the Georgia Department of Natural
Resources, Glover and a 15-year-old girl were riding in a inner tube when a
personal water craft crashed into them. Glover suffered a serious head injury
and the girl had a broken arm and a jagged wound on her head. Both were flown by
helicopter to the emergency room. 38-year-old Jeffrey Hubbard of Atlanta was
driving the personal water craft that hit the two children. Investigators say
that alcohol was not a factor.

The family released this statement:
"We know God's in control, and are leaning on our faith in Him and His word
at this most difficult time. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and ask
that you all continue to pray and lift Kile up, as it's the best way we can all
support him now."

On July 15, 2012, Tameka Raymond, the mother of Kile, created a tweet on
twitter for the first time since the incident.

According to a source close to the family, Usher visited Glover but hasn’t
returned. Tameka was married to Usher for two years until they divorced in 2009.
Ryan Glover, the father of Kile, is the President of Bounce TV, a Digital
Television Network targeted toward African American audiences.
